Two Friends, Two Guitars, one "auld" song. The lyrics to this song are a bit of a mystery. Robert Burns took the lyrics to the Scots Musical Museum with the remark "The following song, an old song, of the olden times, and which has never been in print, nor even in manuscript until i took it down from an old man." The original author could have been James Watson, originally composed in 1711. Here for you, is our version, with an original third verse we wrote as adapted from another poem by Robert Burns, "A Red, Red Rose."
